On February 9, Victory Event Series announced the hiring of former Syracuse player and current Harriton High School Head Coach Jeff Desko and Gwynned Mercy Assistant Coach Blase Cesarone as new Team Sales and Recruiting Showcase Managers.

“Jeff and Blase are tremendous additions to our team,” said Victory’s Bob Dignazio. “They bring impressive resumes as collegiate players and have coached at the elite travel, high school, and college levels. We are excited to welcome them aboard.”

During Coach Desko’s years as a player at Syracuse, the Orange were NCAA Championship Runner-up (2013), Big East Champs (2013) and ACC Champs in both 2015 and 2016.  Prior to playing for the Orange, Jeff competed for Central Mass powerhouse St. John’s Shrewsbury where he was a four-year Varsity player, team captain and High School All-American. Jeff’s coaching resume includes the Laxachusetts Club program, Marlborough High School, and Framingham High School. Last year, he served as an Assistant Coach at Division III Becker College.

Coach Cesarone played Midfield at Gwynned Mercy University. After graduation, he served as Head Varsity Coach at Pope John Paul II High School and with Black Bear Lacrosse Club. At Pope John Paul, he led the program to new heights by earning the team’s first-ever District 1 playoff berth. Blase returned to his alma mater last fall, joining the coaching staff as Offensive Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator.

Jeff and Blase serve as resources for club directors and also direct Victory’s eight elite recruiting showcases.

“In the past 16 months, Victory has added three new full-time positions on staff, four new tournaments (Victory Winter Championship, Little Rock LaxFest, Southeast Shootout, and Liberty National Elite Fall Classic) and four new elite recruiting showcases (Philly Summer Kickoff Elite Showcase, TXD Elite 150 Showcase, Southeast Elite 150, and Liberty National Elite Fall Showcase). This expansion, coupled with new partnerships with Cascade-Maverik, Next Level Video and others, will continue to produce elite experiences for players, parents, and coaches at Victory’s tournament and showcases,” said Victory President Jeff Long.
