Looking for experience in Event Management and Sports Marketing? You came to the right place! Victory Event Series is a national leader in providing elite sports experiences to elite athletes and teams throughout the United States. As a summer intern specialist, you will learn how to successfully plan and execute operational and game day event elements, coordinate marketing and communications, and learn from industry professionals in a fast-paced, fun environment. We are offering internship specialist positions in the following areas:

These are paid internship positions to current undergraduate and post-graduate students with a desire to learn about the sports management industry.

Specific Duties: Lacrosse Tournaments – assist event director with pre-event staffing, promotion and planning, creating on-site operations plans, fulfilling logistics needs, and overseeing weekend staff/volunteers. Execute game-day tournament plans and manage the entire lacrosse tournament experience. The 2024 Summer Schedule includes thirteen tournaments and seven showcases.

Additional Duties: Work weekend events as needed; may include travel to Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Texas, Tennessee and/or NJ/DE/MD.

Qualifications: Must have reliable transportation. Must be at least 18 years old pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sports management, or related field with a strong knowledge and/or interest in men’s or women’s lacrosse.

Salary/Wages: $15.00/hour with overtime expected in June

Summer 2024 Internship: May 6 – July 26, 2024 (12 weeks)

Victory Event Series – Tournament Director Position

The ideal Tournament Director is a strong leader who can keep a level head and work efficiently in a fast-paced atmosphere. A strong knowledge of lacrosse and long hours (usually beginning at 6:15 am) during the weekend is required. Knowledge of Tourneymachine management, as well as past experience in managing or assisting in managing tournaments, are highly valued.

As an on-site Tournament Director, you will manage tournament staff and collaborate with coaches, club directors, referee assignors, athletic trainers, facility operators, vendors, and other partners to ensure a safe and successful tournament. In addition, you will:

*Be responsible for providing direction to weekend staff workers, such as field coordinators, clock operator and score poster, showcase check-in staff, Gatorade delivery, trash pickup, social media operators, etc.
*Coordinate with officials assignor to ensure a high level of officiating.
*Coordinate with athletic trainers to ensure safety standards and emergency action plans are being met.
*Coordinate with facility director to ensure that all issues regarding parking, fan behavior, cleanliness, lights, fields, and other facility issues are addressed in a timely manner.
*Ensure that college coach needs are met onsite.
*Answer questions from coaches and club directors regarding the schedule, rules, standings, and brackets.

Qualifications
*Passion and knowledge of lacrosse rules, tournaments, and college recruiting.
*Ability to multi-task, manage team members, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
*Ability to communicate with full-time Victory staff onsite and via offsite.
*Ability to work well with others, provide clear direction and feedback, and maintain positive relationships with staff, coaches, players, and other constituencies.
*Strong verbal and written communication skills.
*Ability to lift equipment up to 60 pounds.
*Understanding of social media, internet, and Microsoft Office. Must possess a working smartphone.
