Victory Event Series unveiled an exciting award program aimed at supporting a future First Generation College Student in the college selection process. The Victory 1st Award winner will receive a lacrosse recruiting showcase, SportsRecruits membership, Inspirica test prep package, Next Level Video highlight reel, and promotion on TopLaxRecruits. The total value exceeds $2,000.
Selection criteria includes, but is not limited to, whether an applicant will be a first generation college student, financial need, leadership positions or projects undertaken, and other challenges overcome.
“The college search and recruiting process can be complex for anyone,” said Victory Vice President Bob Dignazio. “Students with parents who didn’t take the traditional four-year college path or who don’t have access to college guidance resources are many times late to the game: they may miss out on early admission or scholarship opportunities or recruiting exposure. Prospective student-athletes typically make their college decisions earlier than other students, so this gap is more pronounced among athletes.
“Victory’s partners have been eager to make this a reality. We are teaming up with Next Level Video, SportsRecruits, TopLaxRecruits, and Inspirica to provide a deserving student with opportunities to be seen by college coaches on the field and on video, support in communicating with college coaches, promotion on social media, and preparation for the SAT or ACT. We’re taking a 360 degree look at the process, and can’t wait to help a student reach their college goals.”
