Frederica, DE – Victory Event Series hosted the 2019 Liberty National Elite Classic and Showcase on the weekend of June 28-30. With over 120 college coaches in attendance, the Liberty National Elite Classic highlighted the skills showcased by athletes from over 90 of the top club teams across the country.

    The weekend began on Friday as top players from all over the country gained valuable recruiting exposure at the Liberty National Elite Showcase. High School players in the 2020 through 2022 grad years squared off in the 16-team showcase. A recruiting session led by Victory Director Bob Dignazio and coaches from Sacred Heart (D-I), St. Leo’s (D-II), and Elizabethtown (D-III) also highlighted the afternoon. The top players were voted by college coaches to the Showcase All-Star teams.

    Tournament play began on Saturday, showcasing elite play from teams throughout the USA and Canada. Saturday pool games were postponed due to an evening rainstorm. However, teams returned to the field bright and early to battle for bracket seeding. Each division features a giant 16-team tournament, in which every team qualifies. This gives teams get hot on Sunday a change to compete for a championship. In the 2022 A division, 1029 from Ohio took home the trophy, while Southshore 2022 came out on top in the AA division. Gorilla Lax 2021 won their A division, edging Top Caliber, and Patriot 2021 squeaked one out against Duke’s Elite to win the 2021 AA division. Lastly, Evolve Canada Ontario won the 2020 A division by a score of 9-2. In the 2020 AA division, the Liberty National staff crowned True Blue 2020 and the Colorado Outlaws Academy as co-champions, with each team winning a trophy and Victory Event Series Champion hats.

    Liberty Rising: Elite Competition for Top Youth Teams

    North East, MD – Meanwhile at Calvert Regional Park in Maryland, the 2019 Liberty Rising Lacrosse Tournament hosted 54 youth teams spread across seven divisions. More than 1,000 players in divisions ranging from 2023 A to 2027 descended upon North East, Maryland for highly competitive tournament play. The weekend included representation from teams hailing from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, and Minnesota.
